{THE COLLABORATION BETWEEN WOMEN OF IMPACT INT’L{W.O.I.I.} AND NGOZI ANUNOBI FOUNDATION{N.A.F.} TO GIVE OUT RELIEF PACKAGES TO COMMUNITIES IN LAGOS, NIGERIA}

If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing –

(1 Cor 13:3)

When we think of doing a kind gesture for someone, we should not be thinking about the rewards or whether we will get credit or not, but just do it as a kind, from-the-heart gesture.

The exercise of benevolence is joy to loving hearts. Kind actions makes us happy, and in such joy, we find communion with the great heart of Jesus.

Do take note however that If you only help those who have helped you or treated you right at one point, then you are on the same level as sinners or unbelievers.

The Bible says, “Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again – (Luke 6:26). Be good to them and lend according to your riches in His glory and hope for nothing in return.

“So that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust” – (Matthew 5:45). For God causes the rain to fall upon the holy and the unholy, the grateful and the ungrateful, the thankful and the evil. If you do not want your ‘rain’ to fall upon the ungrateful, then that ‘rain’ too will not fall on you. If we are to count our blessings and name them one by one, we can never be grateful enough to the Most High.

As at March 2020, WOII collaborated with NAF to reach out to the less privileged communities by distributing relief packages to help people who have been greatly affected by the economy meltdown caused by the pandemic.

Both teams worked tirelessly to ensure the process went seamlessly without a fault. From creating ample time to getting the needed materials to exerting themselves to the main process.

Oh! The smiles, happiness and immense joy that resulted into warm hugs and exchange of kind gestures and words from the beneficiaries was enough as a reward for the whole process. It was a day that would forever remain embedded in the hearts of the participants.

It turns out people benefit just as much from the act of giving than simply being on the receiving end which brings a note to self- HOW OFTEN DO YOU GIVE WITHOUT EXPECTING A REWARD?

The notion- THE WORLD IS A BEAUTIFUL PLACE TO LIVE IN- is genuinely true after-all. All we need to do is to care more, give more and love more and provide a shoulder to lean on.

With the on-going threats to the less-privileged families’ ability to feed themselves properly, it is essential to stay connected together with God’s undying love for us all and be our brother’s and

sister’s keeper by considering a donation to alleviate the burden of hunger for hungry families during

these trying times
